What Does Your Best Look Like?
I’ve been finding myself feeling caught in the stress loop. You know, that place where your thinking doesn’t turn off, addiction to electronics is on high (or maybe something else for you), important relationships feel disconnected, everything is a mad dash, and the circulating cortisol is tangible.
I saw this sign recently and it was a welcome message from the universe. In “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz (my post with synopsis)...the final agreement is “always do your best”.
Important to remember that doing your best doesn’t mean perfection. It means bringing your best self to every moment, in whatever way that looks at the time. If you’re home sick, it means getting the best rest you can get to heal. If you’re having a bad day it means doing your best to communicate with others in a healthy way.
And if you’re striving for success, it means defining what that really means to you and creating a balanced approach. So, I’m going to do my best today, and in the coming days, to stay present, practice pausing, and allow for imperfection.
